At Ferme Des
Berges Inc. we have been breeders of Canadien horses for more than
30 years (1970). During that time, we have continuously worked
toward the improvement of our herd.
We presently
have a herd of more than 245 registered horses, and we are considered
the most important breeder of the cheval Canadien.
All horses that are born here carry our
herd name "Du Coteau", ex.
Du Coteau Lalou Caesar.
The quality and diversity of our herd permits us to
answer all of our clients needs, no matter which discipline they follow.
We are located in a region which is ideal for the raising
of horses. Our farm consists of 465 acres of pasture and forest,
where the mares and young stock, stay outside all year round.
The mountain and forest areas of the farm offer a
natural protection against the elements.
We are situated 2 hours from Montreal, 45 minutes
from Ottawa, in the Quebec Outaouais region, which is 40 kilometers (25
miles) east of Hull.
